Race Secretariat

Race Secretariat

The race secretariat is responsible for ensuring correct final results of the Batavierenrace. During the race we keep a close eye on all results and hand out penalty codes if necessary. In addition, we keep in touch with the switch point teams to hear if everything is alright there and sweep up the runners who are too slow with the last van.

Throughout the year we are particularly active in an advisory capacity around the establishment of the Race Rules, the Registration Rules and the race schedule.

We are looking for you!

We are looking for general committee members, but also specifically for a technical person. This is to ensure that our technical system that we work in during the race works completely flawlessly and to our liking. Read further for more information.

General committee member

YOUR CONTRIBUTION
We are looking for motivated people who like to work diligently. Who like to think about the race rules, dig through the results for strange anomalous run times and hand out penalty codes. You'll learn exactly how everything works through the year from your fellow committee members.

TIME SPENT
Throughout the year we meet at most about once a month. Closer to the race a little more often and after the race a little less. Meetings are usually in the evening or on weekends.
During the race itself, someone is in the last van and the rest are at the command center from where we monitor the race and results in shifts.

The technical member shares that motivation, but also preferably has experience with PHP and Symfony.
